The central control system will be focused around a control console which will house the twin (minimum size 21") visual display units (VDU) operator stations,one per process section unless stated otherwise.Operation is to be via only mouse and keyboard.
A single monitor engineering station is to be provided for interrogation and software amendments,dependant on the system offered this can be a PC based workstation located in the engineering office.
In addition to the operator VDU's,the control centre will also house at least threeline printers which will print-out information concerning events and alarms as they occur.One printer black and white for alarm and operator action logging the other two colour for production reports and statistical data printout.
A file server for connection to the Works LAN network is to be provided.
One video copier (colour) to also be provided for "on demand" hard copies of data and information as it appears on the VDU screen; this also includes real-time trends and historical data.
The console will also incorporate a multi Tracy (30 Channel) recorder for continuously plotting critical process measurements.The recorder to be software addressed into the system and,therefore,can be dedicated to any measurement input values or calculates value.The system should be capable for storing the process data for a minimum period of 90 days for review
