Love is like the wild rose-briar; Friendship like the holly-tree.The holly is dark when the rose-briar blooms,But which will bloom most constantly?The wild rose-briar is sweet in spring,Its summer blossoms scent the air; Yet wait till winter comes again,And who will call the wild-briair?Then,scorn the silly rose-wreath now,And deck thee with holly´s sheen,That,when December blights thy brow,He still may leave thy garland green.
Love is friendship that has caught fire.It is quiet understanding,mutual confidence,sharing and forgiving.It is loyalty through good times and bad.
It settles for less than perfection and makes allowances for human weaknesses.
Love is content with the present; It hopes for the future and it doesn’t brood over the past.
It’s the day-in-and-out disappointments,big victories and common goals.If you have love in your life,it can make up for a great many things you lack.If you don’t have it,no matter what else there is,it’s not enough.
