Being a child
Good morning,
Honorable judges,dear teachers and close friends
I’m very glad to stand here to share my speech with you.First of all,I would like to introduce myself to you .My name is Yang Shuo,11 years old,a primary school student.The title of my speech today is :Being a child.
Being a child,I play different roles in life:a daughter,a student and a friend.
Being a daughter,I’m the luckest person in the world.I’m happy because I possess my parents’ generous love and tender care.On Children’s Day I can get lots of presents.My father and mother take me to the theme park,the zoo and so on.Every moring ,my mother cooks delicious breakfast for me.When I was ill,my parents look after me very carefully.I think I should be a filial (孝顺的)daughter.
Being a student ,I concentrate my attention on my lessons in class,treat my homework seciously and solve the problems creatively.I learn a lot from text books and real life.I learn to be a good student ,behave properly,help others.The teachers teach us in many ways.I’m good at English .We often do listening,speaking,reading and writing and other activities.I love my school life.
Being a friend,I get along with my friends very well both on campus and after school.I share similarities and differences with them.I count on their encouragement and criticism on my way.After class I usually play with my friends together,talk about interesting topics ,help each other.I felt much better after I opened my heart to my friends.
Compared with the life of an adult,my life has its traits.I love my life as a child deeply because:
I play games with enthusiasm;
I have doubts about the world and things around me;
I climb mountain I meet with and then strive for the next one;
Everything has its sense of wonder for me;
Sometimes I am carefree.
But sometimes I feel my life has its disadvantages.
Being a child ,I have to get up very early to go to school.And I have a heavy task at school every day.When you are an adult,you don’t have to do a lot of homework.
Being a child ,I can’t go anywhere by myself,when I want to go somewhere,I have to have my parent accompany me or ride my bicycle.When you’re an adult,you can drive a car wherever you want.
Being a child,I can’t play outside until it’s late.When you’re an adult,sometines you can relax yourself.
Being a child,I have no job to support myself,I have to ask my parent for money.When you’re an adult,you are economically independent.It must be great.
However,watching the children in poor areas and in underdeveloped countries on TV,I feel I live in a paradise filled with happiness,bliss and love.I enjoy being a child!
