Last & Sole Confirmation and alignment on philosophyWe love your pattern tightness - very exciting and we want to proceed with the project. We need to insist on flat last, big toe space and accurate belly. But also want space for toes to expand and contract - so do not want to over-shorten (did not cover this point very well in the meeting). As soon as the big toes touch the end of the sole they become tense and stop providing natural elastic recoil through the plantar fascia and arch. The sole should be flat and thin all over except for a touch of extra material on radius to help the product keep shape (but this should be as minimal as possible and very smooth gradient). We want the sole to be curved (minimal corners) like the foot so that it scuffs less and does not restrict natural barefoot movement in anyway. The next step for the last is for Asher to give you the corrections and sign off and make a new silicon mould to test the updated shoe - we must start with agreed last and sole. Suggest we remake the same Ra style once we have had a chance to sign off the updated blue prints for last and sole. 3. First injection modelsWe are working with two injection suppliers (TPU and Rubber) to pursue automated shoe making. The TPU trial will be ready on Friday and the Rubber in 1 month. We propose to then decide on which design to start for both TPU and Rubber and use them as the kick off projects (should also include the kids project). We will make a 3 way agreement between us, the factory and the mould maker and as part of that agreement the factory must use your system. Please confirm you are happy with the above and we can write it up into a more formal agreement. Is it possible for you to quote for: a) The last confirmation project. b) Then style by style for first 3 styles.
