McDonald’s is a very famous fast food company.
It began with two brothers,Mac and Dick McDonald,in California in the 1940’s.They had a small,but very successful restaurant.They sold hamburgers and other kinds of simple foods.
People stood outside the restaurant at a window.They told thee workers inside what they wanted.They got and paid for their food very quickly.
Ray Kroc sold restaurant supplies.H knew the McDonald brothers’ idea was a good one.He paid the McDonald brothers to open restaurants that were the same as their first one.Then Ray Kroc opened the first “McDonald’s restaurant” in 1955.H was fifty-two years old then.In 1960,Ray Kroc bought all the legal rights to the restaurants from the McDonald brothers.By then,there were more than 200 McDonald’s restaurants.
Ray Kroc was good at knowing what the customers wanted.He gave people a simple eating place with popular cheap food,good service and no waiting.All McDonald’s restaurants sold the same food.
McDonald’s began to go to the world on 1967.There are now more than 30,000 McDonald’s restaurants around the world.
Ray Kroc was very rich when he died.But he hadn’t always been successful.When he was young,his parents were not rich.He didn’t finish high school.First,he became a driver.Next,he became a jazz piano player.He played with famous music groups.Then he began working for a cup company,selling paper cups.He kept trying new things.He once sold land in Florida.But he failed.So,he went back to work for the cup company.His life improved when he stared to sell restaurant supplies.
