应该是C.如果选B,句法是对的,但是语意不如C恰当.
意思应该是：不知道他来自哪里（某个城市、国家）,但是据说他的出生地在加拿大.这种情况其实很普遍; 如果选C,则只是简单的问答,虽然也对,但不如前述语意丰满；推测更应是前种情况.
