Dear judges and friends,
I’m honored to be here to share a speech with you.Today my topic is my father and I.do you remember the common saying like father like son.From me you know my father is cheerful,humorous and active.He is not as talkative as my mother.So I like him better than my mother.
My father is my first teacher in my life and also is one of my best friends.When I was young,my father was always beside me and taught me how to walk and how to say “Hello” to others.He was so kind that I usually sat on his knees and listened to his stories.And all of these enrich my life.
My father never fails to show his care and consideration.Once I stole my neighbor Annie’s pen on her desk.When I found nobody around,I put it in my bag as quickly as I could.Then I ran home immediately.When my father came home,he noticed my uneasiness and ask me what happened.
I had to tell him the truth.I wilted faster than a flower with no water.To my surprise,he praised my honesty instead of scolding me.He encouraged me to apologize to Annie.I knew that my father not only took care of my health but also taught me how to be an honest person.
How lucky I am to have such a good father.He is the man I respect most.I believe my father’s love will lead me to the success and I will love him forever.
