at 一般指大致范围,如某一物体的前后左右,所以是at school gate.in school gate是不能用的.而on school gate,可以用,但是是指“在大门上面”,而不是在门口.注意in front of……和in the front……有很大区别,前者是说“在……前面”,或者是说“在……前端”.比如n front of the door,在门前；in the front of the door,在门的前脸.
