Mr.Bush had to go to London on business. He bought a second-class ticket and reached the station during the rush hour when the train was already crowded, and he was afraid he had to stand.
Then he noticed there are several empty seats in the first-class compartment and he decided to travel in comfort. He could pay the extra money when the conductor came.Mr.Bush got into the first-class compartment and took a seat.
There were four more men in the compartment. They all wore dark suits and it seemed they were all successful businessmen. However, just before the train started,a different kind of person came in and sat down.He was a long-haired young man, indecently dressed, who had certainly never worked in an office.
Two of the other men looked up in silence from their newspapers, and then started to read again, but their faces showed clearly what they were thinking about.Mr.Bush guessed that he wasn’t the only passenger without the first-class ticket.
There came the conductor.Mr.Bush had the useful money in his hand, and he held it out with the ticket. The conductor then turned to the others. One by one, each of the businessmen paid some extra money. But the young sat quietly, and he was the only person that had a first-class ticket in the compartment.
