轉載 公告发布,新闻发布常用的官方文件 Dear Members and Friends:We take pleasure in announcing the 118th Friendship Dinner on September 13,1987,at David Lee’s EMPRESS Restaurant in the Universal Building,1875 Connecticut Ave,N.W.,Washington,D.C.(near Washington Hilton Hotel).Reception starts at 6:00 P.M.Dinner will be served at 7:00.This dinner will honor one of our members,Mrs.Nien Y.Cheng ,Widely-esteemed author of Life and Death in Shanghai.Her book,a best seller for many weeks,was a recent choice of the Book-of-the-Month Club.Mrs.Cheng has appeared on radio and TV and is in great demand on the public speaking circuit.We are fortunate that she will speak to us on her experiences in Shanghai.A sextet from Hua Sheng Chorus under the direction of Mrs.Sharon Pan will render some Chinese songs.We expect a big crowd for this interesting dinner.Please return the attached reply slip soon so that reservation can be made for you and your friends.The cost of the dinner is $11.00 per person,drinks extra.Arrangement is made to seat 10 persons at each table.Table assignment is determined by the time of the receipt of reservation.Sincerely,Walter H.Judd,Chairman of the Board Widdiam G.Carr,President John F.Lewis,Vice President Gertrude C.Ho.Vice President
