Why Is It Good for Children to Read
I think there are a lot of reasons why it’s good for children to read.Not just reading for pleasure,but all of the subjects,no matter what subject it is,involve some reading,even if it’s just art.
They have to read the directions to do an art project and…
Social studies they have to read.Science they have to read.And the more they read,the easier,the more their vocabulary will expand,and the better they’ll do in their other subjects.
Also for,for pleasure,especially here in Puerto Ordaz where there aren’t very many things to do.Instead of being out doing something they shouldn’t be doing,they can choose reading as a hobby.
I can read a composition that a student has written that has,that reads a lot and I know that he reads a lot by his use of the language and his vocabulary and a lot of advanced sentence structure that someone of that age normally would not be able to handle.
Sometimes children who have very limited experiences,whose families don’t get out very much,maybe not have enough money,just stay at home a lot,have real limited experiences and by reading they can expand their experiences about what happens in the world.
I’ve had children,who,in a reader,see a picture,an exercise and they see a picture of a lion and they don’t know what it is,because either their parents haven’t read to them,or they haven’t read books,or they haven’t been out.
And if they haven’t been to a zoo to see an actual lion they could have read in a book,or had their parents read to them about lions.
And they miss the problem because they may,once you tell them what it is,explain,they can do the exercise,but because they didn’t know,didn’t have the experience,they weren’t able to do it.

为什么说孩子阅读有好处?
我认为有很多理由可以说明孩子阅读有好处.不仅仅是为了娱兴,而是所有阅读,不管阅读的内容是什么,甚至于只阅读一些关于艺术的东西也对孩子有好处.
孩子们在做一件艺术品之前要阅读一些说明.社会大众的东西他们要阅读,科学知识他们要阅读.他们读得越多读得越早,他们的词汇量就越大,他们在做其他事的时候也会更得心应手.
在我们委内瑞拉奥尔达斯港没有什么事情好做,孩子们更应该为了快乐多多阅读.孩子们与其出去做一些他们不应该做的事,还不如将阅读培养成一种习惯.
我曾经看过一篇学生写的文章,学生说他读了很多书,我从他驾驭文字的能力就知道他的确读了很多书,他的词汇量以及他用的一些句型绝对非他同龄的孩子可比的.
有时孩子虽然阅历不一定丰富、家庭境况不一定很好、没有什么钱出去只能待在家里可能实际阅历非常有限,但是通过阅读,他们能积累自己的经历,知道这个世界上发生了些什么.
我曾经让一些孩子仅在阅读器上看狮子的照片做一些作业,但他们不知道狮子是什么,因为不仅他们自己没有读过书,他们父母也没有给他们读过什么是狮子,而且他们也从来没有机会出去.
但如果他们没有去过动物园,没有看到过真正的狮子,他们其实可以在书本上读到过,或让他们父母读书本给他们听什么是狮子.
他们误解了问题的关键所在,他们以为只要你告诉他们那是什么,他们就能做出作业,但其实他们还是做不出作业,因为他们不知道!因为没有经验过,所以他们做不上来.
