Your employment by the Company will be subject to the approval a 457 visa subclass of the Australian Department of Immigration and Multicultural Affairs (DIMIA) under the terms and conditions attaching to the Business Sponsorship of you by the Company for a maximum period of four years from the date of such approval by DIMIA.The terms and conditions attaching to DIMIA’s approval for the Company to sponsor you in Australia will form part of the terms and conditions of this letter of offer.
As your Business Sponsor in Australia we understand that we will be required to undertake to DIMIA that we will undertake various things in respect of your employment,including:
Accept responsibility for obligation to the Commonwealth for you in respect of the correct deduction of tax installments from your weekly/fortnightly wages or any other eligible payments; to make superannuation contributions to your nominated account while in our employment; to pay debts to the Commonwealth as a result of a sponsored person receiving or using Commonwealth benefits or services to which you have no entitlement,for example Medicare,social security benefits.
Comply with Australian industrial relations laws,Australian levels of remuneration and conditions of employment and DIMIA’s stipulated minimum salary requirement which amounts to $39,100 per annum.
Be responsible for your repatriation costs.However,it will be a condition of your employment with the Company that you arrive in Australia on a valid return airfare to point of origin.The ticket must be valid for 12 months from the time of arrival in Australia.
Inform DIMIA immediately if you cease employment with us.
Comply with Immigration requirements.
Co-operate fully with DIMIA in monitoring you,including providing monitoring reports as required by the Minister.
Co-operate fully in any DIMIA monitoring relating to your employment by us.
Accept as good practice the desirability of creating appropriate career opportunities for Australia citizens and permanent residents both in Australia and,where our business operates internationally,overseas.
Accept that the recruitment of labour from overseas must not counter Government training policies and objectives of producing a highly skilled and flexible Australia workforce.
On your acceptance of this offer of employment our Registered Migration Agents will assist you in making the requisite application to DIMIA.
