2,the other 特指两个人说事物中的另一个.使用场合是,前文必须交代或者隐含所叙述的人或事物是两个.如：I have two brothers.【One】 is tall and 【the other】 is short.
3,the others 使用与the other类似,只是原来的单数变成复数而已.如：The are 50 students in my class.22 are boys,and 【the others】 are girls.
4,other不单独使用,后面跟复数可数名词时,泛指其它的人或事物=others.
5,没有one.other.
6,another泛指另一个人或事物,没有选择范围.楼主的句子正是属于这种情况.another除了泛指不定数目中“另一个”外,还可以跟数词,再跟复数可数名词.如：another two books,“另外两本书”.
