Accounting:G/L,A/P,A/R,Costing,Inventory Management.Our goal is to maximize the amount of journal entries done automatically by the system due to our limited staff.We also must be able to cut checks,bill,receive/apply cash,run an aging,assign costs,create boms and routing,run detailed financials in English and Chinese.Would also like to have the capability to upload info into the G/L (i.e.budget numbers,journal entries).
Purchasing:Requirements should be that of a basic procurement department including the creation of PO’s,creating and maintaining vendor files,etc….
Shipping/Receiving:Require that we are able to receive into inventory raw,wip,and finished goods.Also must be capable of producing all required shipping documents and relieving inventory as shipments are confirmed.
Customer Service:Need to be able to set up customers,enter orders using pricing calculated with a price sheet and a discount,check stock,attach notes to orders.Code orders by region,salesman,and customer type.
Report Writing Tool:Will need a tool to create standard and ad hoc reports (backlog,sales by period,by customer,by region,etc…)
Company Specifics
We will be operating out of one location used for both sales and manufacturing.We will need the capability to create two entities within the company,one for domestic Chinese sales and one for export sales.Total staff will be between 10 and 15 full time employees with up to 10 potential users.Currently this entity does not exist so this will be an implementation from ground zero with no legacy systems,or data issues.We will need all employees trained and thus would prefer a company with local support.Multiple languages within the software is a requirement.
Timetable
It is our hope to have our WFOE formation completed by March 31,2007 and begin conducting business as of April 1,2007.
Key Attributes
The key attributes will be the items seen as most important for decision making.
• Ease of installation:Due to our short time frame it must be relatively easy to install and populate with required information.
• Ease of use:Since all users will be new to the system getting them fully up to speed quickly will be critical
• Multi-language capable:Users in China and the U.S.will want to be able to get data out.Specifically Energy management and the Chinese government.
