这道题确实有点奇怪
it was as important to respect others as to be respected by others
这句话全句应该是这样的：
it was as imprtant to respect others as (it was important) to be respected by others.因为as后的从句与前面相同部分省略了.所以,就得用to be respected
如果想要用being respected,那就把前面的to respect others改成respecting others
不过it is important to do something比it is important doing something更常用
it was as important to respect others as to be respected by others
