37.0 Machine bases
..After completion of the blinding layer under the machine base,construct a 115mm brick
or 100mm concrete block wall around the edge of the base as permanent formwork,and
carry this up to the level of the underside of the ground floor slab.
Continue with timber formwork above this level as required.Line the vertical faces to
the top of the ground floor slab with 50mm expanded polystyrene or polyethylene,
otherwise as specified in clause 31.0.Lay 75mm wood wool slabs on the blinding layer
and cover this with PVC sheet.Pour the machine base monolithically.Allow for fixing
bolts as follow:
a.Cast bolts in position with a washer over the head and surrounded by a steel tube
with an internal diameter twice that of the bolt;
b.Provide a hole for grouting the bolt into position.Formwork for the hole is to be
either of timber and so designed that it can be easily removed,or of expanded
polystyrene and subsequently burt out with a below lamp.The top edge of the
joint around the base is to be provided with a floor joint cover as specified under
clause 31.0.
38.0 Well kerbs
..Construct well kerbs,where required of concrete grade III (1:2:4 o.g.) 280mm x 480mm
splayed in cross section and of the requisite diameter,reinforced with 4 No.13mm
diameter steel rods with 6mm diameter stirrups at 225mm centres.The kerb is to be
placed in position and sunk by the weight of brickwork during the excavation.

37.0 机器基座
